Thousands of spectators lined Middlebelt Road and Ford Road for the 55th running of Garden City’s annual Santaland Parade. The November 28 event featured everything from live reindeer to a lawn mower drill corps. Mascots from the Pistons and tigers mingled with marching bands and dance clubs as unicyclists perched eight-feet high on their seats. The weather wasn’t too cold and bundled up children got all of the candy they could eat. Best of all, good old St. Nick made his yearly trek to Garden City and was the hit of many a camera phone as he made his grand entrance. See all of thephotos from the event.
